Privacy Policy

A legal disclaimer

The Hague Creators values your privacy and is committed to being transparent about how information is handled. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you interact with our website, events, and community. The explanations and information provided here are general and high-level and should not be relied upon as legal advice. Different jurisdictions have different legal obligations of what must be included in a Privacy Policy, and you are responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. We recommend consulting a legal professional for specific guidance.

The Hague Creators does not directly collect or store personal information through its website. Event registrations are handled entirely through Eventbrite, which is the data controller. Any personal information you provide when registering for an event is collected and processed by Eventbrite in accordance with their own Privacy Policy, which you can read here. If you choose to join our WhatsApp community, please note that WhatsApp is a third-party service and any information you share there is subject to WhatsApp’s Privacy Policy. Participation is voluntary and at your own discretion. Our website may use basic cookies or analytics tools to understand traffic and improve functionality, but this information is not used to identify individuals.

Because The Hague Creators does not collect or store personal data directly, our use of information is limited to reviewing general analytics about website usage and sharing community updates through third-party platforms such as Eventbrite, Instagram, or WhatsApp. We do not sell, trade, or rent personal information. Any information you provide to Eventbrite or WhatsApp is governed by their policies and terms of service, not ours. By attending our events, you acknowledge that photography and videography may take place and that images or recordings may be used for promotional purposes on our website, social media channels, and other community communications. If you prefer not to appear, please inform our team at the event and we will do our best to respect your wishes.

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have certain rights regarding your personal data, including access, correction, and deletion. Because The Hague Creators does not directly collect or store personal information, requests of this nature must be directed to the relevant third-party platforms, such as Eventbrite or WhatsApp. We take reasonable steps to ensure that our website remains secure, but no online platform can be guaranteed as completely secure. Our events and website are not directed at children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors.

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Netherlands, and any disputes shall be handled exclusively by the courts of the Netherlands. We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally, and any changes will be posted here with a new “last updated” date.

The Hague Creators exists to create and connect, not to collect data. Registrations run through Eventbrite, and participation in our WhatsApp community is entirely at your own discretion. For any questions regarding this Privacy Policy, please contact us.
